Beth Mooney to Lead Gujarat Giants in WPL 2025
The third season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is set to begin on February 14, 2025. Gujarat Giants (GG) will enter the new season with a revamped squad, having made the biggest signing in the WPL 2025 auction by securing Simran Shaikh for INR 1.9 crores.
The tournament will feature five teams: Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, UP Warriorz, and Gujarat Giants.
After a challenging campaign in WPL 2024, where they finished last with just four points from two wins in eight matches, the GG franchise decided to make several strategic changes, including the release of experienced all-rounder Sneh Rana.
Gujarat Giants will begin their WPL 2025 campaign on February 14, facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.
Gujarat Giants Venues for WPL 2025
Gujarat Giants will compete across four venues in WPL 2025: Vadodara, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mumbai. Their opening three league matches will be held in Vadodara, followed by two games in Bengaluru. The team will then head to Lucknow for two matches before finishing their league stage with a game in Mumbai.
