India is set to tour Australia for an eight-match white-ball series in October and November 2025, as announced by Cricket Australia on Sunday, March 30.
The series will kick off on October 19, with India playing the opening match of a three-match ODI series at Perth’s Optus Stadium. This will be followed by a five-match T20I series starting on October 29 in Canberra.
This tour will mark India’s debut in Gold Coast, a coastal city in Queensland, just 70 kilometers from Brisbane.
India recently visited Australia from November 2024 to January 2025 for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25. Unfortunately, they lost the series 1-3, marking their first defeat in the BGT since 2015.

Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, India has become a dominant force in T20I cricket. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 champions have embraced an aggressive style of play, consistently surpassing the 200-run mark in recent matches.
India recently secured a 3-0 victory over Bangladesh, followed by a 3-1 win over South Africa and a 4-1 series triumph against England. Meanwhile, Australia has played limited T20I cricket since the 2024 World Cup, drawing 1-1 in a three-match series against England before sweeping Pakistan 3-0 on home soil.
