T Natarajan featured in only two matches for Delhi Capitals during IPL 2025.The left-arm seamer was among the costliest buys in the Indian Premier League 2025. Delhi Capitals secured him at the mega auction for a hefty Rs 10.75 crore, a significant jump from his base price of Rs 2 crore. He was DC’s third most expensive purchase after KL Rahul and Mitchell Starc.
Despite the big price tag, T Natarajan spent most of the tournament on the bench. He played only twice, appearing in the matches against Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the game against Gujarat Titans, he conceded 49 runs without taking a wicket.
The clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad was abandoned due to rain, so T Natarajan did not get a chance to bowl. For the rest of the tournament, Delhi Capitals opted not to include him in their playing XI, leaving him sidelined for the majority of the matches.

Interestingly, the Capitals included T Natarajan in their playing XI for Match No. 60 against the Gujarat Titans (GT) after they were already out of playoff contention. He bowled three overs in that match. With only 18 deliveries bowled throughout the entire tournament, T Natarajan effectively earned over INR 59 lakh per delivery. Last season, he was part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) squad.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals (DC) experienced a roller-coaster ride during IPL 2025. Axar Patel was appointed as the team’s captain for the season. They kicked off the tournament impressively, winning their first four matches in a row and briefly leading the points table.
However, their momentum faltered in the latter half of the league. DC ultimately finished fifth on the points table with 15 points after the league stage. Out of 14 matches, they won seven, lost six, and had one no-result.
