Ahead of the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash, 25-year-old Shubman Gill revealed the toughest bowler he has faced during a rapid-fire session on Sony Sports Network. The young Indian batter singled out England pace legend James Anderson, describing him as the most challenging bowler of his career. Gill also responded to several other intriguing questions during the session.
Interestingly, Shubman Gill has faced Anderson in nine Test matches, scoring a total of 91 runs at an average of 15.20, while the England pacer dismissed him six times across those matches.
Anderson, who retired from international cricket in 2024, concluded his career as the third-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket, claiming 704 wickets in 350 innings across 188 matches at an average of 26.45. Across all three formats, he finished with 991 wickets, ranking third on the all-time list.
Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav is leading India in the 2025 Asia Cup. Placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, Oman, and the UAE, the Men in Blue secured a dominant win against the UAE in their opening match, topping the group with two points and an impressive Net Run Rate (NRR) of +10.483.
