Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan Celebrates Fifty with Iconic ‘Gun’ Gesture in Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s Clash in Dubai
Sahibzada Farhan’s Fiery Knock and Gun-Style Celebration

Opening batter Sahibzada Farhan came out all guns blazing as Pakistan fought hard against India in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s clash at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. The right-hander attacked Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya early, giving Pakistan control in the powerplay and leaving Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav stunned. Farhan went on to score 58 off 45 balls, laced with five fours and three sixes.
He reached his half-century with a towering six in the 10th over, but it wasn’t just the runs that caught attention—it was his celebration. Using his bat like a gun, Farhan pretended to fire shots, a gesture that instantly went viral on social media. Non-striker Saim Ayub looked on in admiration, applauding his partner’s creativity.
Despite the strong start, Farhan lost momentum after his fourth T20I fifty and was eventually dismissed by Shivam Dube in the 15th over, shifting the momentum back towards India.

This was the second meeting between India and Pakistan in the ongoing eight-team tournament. Their earlier clash in the group stage saw India dominate, winning by seven wickets with 25 balls to spare.
In this context, Sahibzada Farhan’s gun-style celebration in the Super 4s encounter is also expected to invite attention and debate, adding another layer to the already tense rivalry.
Fakhar Zaman’s controversial dismissal

The Super 4s contest between India and Pakistan was not short of drama. A major flashpoint came when Fakhar Zaman, dismissed by Hardik Pandya, showed his displeasure at the third umpire’s decision. Fakhar believed Sanju Samson’s catch had not carried, but after multiple replays, the third umpire ruled him out, leaving the batter visibly frustrated as he walked back.
Adding to the intensity, there was once again no handshake or eye contact between captains Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Ali Agha at the toss. The two deliberately avoided each other, continuing the frosty trend from their earlier clash.
