Fans were relieved to see Virat Kohli, feeling the cricketing legend had finally listened to their wishes.
Virat Kohli Spotted in London with Anushka Sharma, Fans Relieved

For the first time since retirement rumors, former India captain Virat Kohli was seen in London on Tuesday with his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Fans were relieved, feeling the cricket legend had finally responded to their requests.
Last month, a viral picture of Kohli in London with Shash Kiran sparked social media chatter. Fans noticed his salt-and-pepper beard and urged him to colour it, speculating that his new look hinted at retirement. The debate quickly grew, with many believing a fresh look might signal a new phase in his life off the field.
Earlier, at Yuvraj Singh’s party in London, Kohli had addressed his beard humorously, explaining it in the context of stepping away from Test cricket: “I just coloured my beard two days ago. You know it’s time when you are colouring your beard every four days,” amusing everyone.
His latest London appearance shows he may have finally heeded his fans’ suggestions.

When will Virat Kohli return to action?

Virat Kohli last played competitive cricket in May during the IPL 2025 final, where his team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, clinched the title for the first time in history. His most recent appearance for India came in the Champions Trophy, helping the team secure their second consecutive ICC trophy under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy.
Both Kohli and Rohit retired from Test cricket in May, just five days apart, ahead of India’s England tour. Following the series, speculation mounted about their potential international retirement, with media reports suggesting the upcoming Australia tour in October could mark their final appearances.
Despite this, both players hinted they are not ready to step away from ODIs. Rohit completed his mandatory pre-season fitness test in Bengaluru earlier this month, while Kohli underwent his assessments in London. Although neither was named for the upcoming India A games against Australia A, speculation continues that both could feature in India’s white-ball tour Down Under, which includes three ODIs.
