Kuldeep Yadav has emerged as India’s key bowler in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025.
Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav has etched his name in the history books of the T20I Asia Cup by setting the record for the most wickets in a single edition of the tournament, following his stellar performances in the 2025 edition.
Kuldeep achieved this milestone during the Super Four clash against Sri Lanka on Friday, September 26, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, which marked the final match of the Super Four stage.
The wrist-spinner has been in sensational form throughout Asia Cup 2025. He began the tournament on a high note, claiming four wickets against the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and continued his impressive run with a three-wicket haul against Pakistan.
Kuldeep Yadav Sets Record for Most Wickets in a Single T20I Asia Cup Edition

In the recent match against Sri Lanka, Kuldeep Yadav claimed one wicket, taking his tournament tally to 13—the highest in a single T20I Asia Cup edition. He surpassed Amjad Javed’s previous record of 12 wickets, set during the 2016 edition of the tournament.
With one match remaining in Asia Cup 2025, Kuldeep’s wicket count is expected to rise further. The final, scheduled for Sunday, 28th September, will see India face Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium.
Kuldeep’s performances against Pakistan have been particularly remarkable, playing a key role in India’s victories in the last two encounters. He will look to continue his form and help India secure their record ninth Asia Cup title.
