The BCCI’s Cricket Advisory Committee has been actively working to appoint selectors for Ajit Agarkar’s panel. On Thursday, the CAC conducted interviews for 15 candidates vying for seven positions across the national senior men’s, senior women’s, and junior men’s selection committees.
According to The Hindu, former Indian batters Ashok Malhotra and Jatin Paranjape, who are members of the CAC, interviewed four candidates for the men’s selectors’ posts. Ten candidates appeared for the senior women’s selection panel, while one interviewed for the junior men’s position.
The interviews were held via video conferencing, following the BCCI’s recent invitation for applications: two posts in the senior men’s panel, four in the senior women’s panel, and one in the junior men’s panel.
RP Singh, Pragyan Ojha Likely to Take Men’s Selectors’ Roles

According to reports, among the four candidates interviewed for the men’s selection panel, RP Singh, Pragyan Ojha, and Amay Khurasiya were shortlisted. Sources suggest that RP Singh and Ojha are poised to be appointed, replacing S. Sharath and Subroto Banerjee in the roles.
RP Singh: Meanwhile, S. Sharath was interviewed for the junior selector’s position. If confirmed, he is expected to succeed Thilak Naidu as chair of the panel ahead of next year’s Under-19 World Cup.
For the women’s selection panel, Sulakshana Naik, Jaya Sharma, Amita Sharma, Sravanthi Naidu, Smita RP Singh, Anagha Deshpande, and Diana David were interviewed. The CAC is expected to submit its recommendations to the BCCI, who will make the final decision.
